- We Provide
Spine Surgery Services Available in Beverly Hills
Both surgical and non-surgical spine treatments are available here for patients across Beverly Hills and the nearby Los Angeles areas. The treatment recommendation depends on imaging, symptoms, nerve involvement, movement limitations, and how much daily life is affected. People often search for spine services online, like “Robotic surgery Beverly Hills.” We cover all of them.
Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery in Beverly Hills
Traditional open surgery is not always necessary. In certain situations, smaller incisions and reduced disruption around the surrounding muscle can treat the problem while making recovery feel less physically demanding afterward.
Robotic Spine Surgery in Beverly Hills
Robotic-assisted spine surgery helps improve precision during certain spinal procedures where alignment and implant positioning are crucial. It gives surgeons more detailed guidance throughout surgical planning and stabilization procedures.
Spinal Fusion Surgery in Beverly Hills
Spinal fusion is usually considered when parts of the spine become unstable or continue to place pressure on nearby nerves during movements. Some patients reach that point gradually after years of degeneration. Others get there fast after injuries or worsening disc collapse.
Artificial Disc Replacement in Beverly Hills
Artificial disc replacement is designed to preserve movement while treating damaged spinal discs. These discs are the cause of chronic pain and nerve irritation. In certain situations, it may be considered instead of spinal fusion.
- Conditions
Conditions Treated by Spine Surgeon in Beverly Hills
Spinal symptoms usually build gradually before patients finally decide to get evaluated. Sometimes it starts with stiffness that never fully settles down. Other times, it becomes numbness, weakness, shooting leg pain, or ongoing discomfort that starts interfering with work and sleep. Some improve with therapy, injections, medication, or activity changes. Others require surgery once nerve compression or structural instability continues progressing over time. No matter which one you need, we treat all the major spine conditions.
Herniated Disc
A herniated disc happens when disc material pushes out and irritates the nearby spinal nerves. Depending on where it happens, symptoms may include lower back pain, arm pain, weakness, or numbness. Some cases calm down with conservative treatments. Severe cases may require surgery.
Sciatica
Sciatica usually causes pain that travels down the legs instead of staying isolated in the lower back. Patients often describe burning, tingling, heaviness, or sharp discomfort in the hip and leg. In many cases, the issue comes from nerve compression around the lumbar spine. Herniated discs are also another reason.
Spinal Stenosis
Spinal stenosis develops when the spaces surrounding spinal nerves gradually narrow down over time. That pressure can affect walking, standing tolerance, balance, and overall mobility. Some patients mainly notice leg fatigue while walking longer distances. Others develop numbness, weakness, or pain that becomes harder to ignore over time.
Degenerative Disc Disease
Dics naturally wear down with age. The difference is that some people barely notice it while others develop chronic pain and stiffness that slowly begin affecting everyday movement. Degenerative disc disease may eventually contribute to inflammation, instability, or nerve irritation. It depends on how advanced the degeneration becomes.
- Why Choose us
Why Choose a Spine Specialist in Beverly Hills?
Spine conditions can get complicated faster than people expect. Somebody comes in thinking they only have a disc problem, then imaging shows stenosis, instability, inflammation, and nerve compression all together.
That is usually why patients start looking specifically for a spinal neurosurgeon in Beverly Hills instead of jumping between general providers. Surgery is only one part of the process anyway. Proper evaluation matters just as much, sometimes even more.
Advanced Surgical Expertise
Complex spine problems usually require more than one quick office visit and a rushed recommendation. Surgical planning matters, just as timing does. Dr. Wong treats spinal disorders using both traditional and minimally invasive techniques. It depends on the actual conditions of the case. Patients care more about clear explanations and realistic guidance than polished marketing language.
- Complex spinal conditions often involve multiple structural and nerve-related problems at the same time
- Surgical recommendations are based on imaging, symptoms, stability, and overall function instead of one standard approach
- Experience with minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures allows for more treatment flexibility for different cases
Modern Spine Surgery Technology
Spine surgery looks very different now compared to what many patients still picture in their heads. Robotic-assisted systems and advanced imaging technology now allow more detailed surgical planning and improved precision during procedures. If you are looking for robotic surgery in Beverly Hills, you are trying to understand whether newer techniques may help reduce the stress of surgery on your body. And the good news is that we are equipped with them for your convenience.
- Robotic-assisted systems help improve guidance and positioning during complex procedures
- Advanced imaging tools allow for more detailed surgical planning before the procedure even starts
- Minimally invasive methods reduce disruption around nearby muscle and tissue structures, reducing the toll on the body
Patient-Centered Treatment Approach
Not everyone who walks into our office needs surgery. Some patients improve with therapy or injections and never need an operation at all. Others keep trying conservative treatment for months before finally reaching a point where daily life movements become difficult. That may lead to surgery afterwards.
- Conservative treatment options are considered before moving into surgical discussions when appropriate
- Consultations focus on explaining the condition clearly without rushing through the appointment
- Treatment planning is individualized based on symptoms, imaging findings, mobility, and daily limitations

Dr. Wong has been helping me with sciatica issues for a long time. He’s very thoughtful with his care and I appreciate his thoroughness. My pain is much more manageable and he’s a big reason. Thank you Dr. Wong!Posted on Google Lugh PowersTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr. Wong and his team, both office and surgical, have earned my highest recommendation. I would put myself and my loved ones in his care without hesitation. He has my gratitude and unwavering endorsement for helping to return me to my previously active and pain-free quality of life. I went to Dr Wong based on a recommendation from a very satisfied patient of his concerning issues that I was having in my neck, arms, hands, and fingers. He was able to identify that I was suffering from the effects of two damaged/degenerating discs in my neck (c5-c6 and c6-c7) which had left me experiencing numbness, tingling, and a measurable loss of grip strength in both hands (especially the right hand). I also was experiencing a medium to severe level of general neck pain, with an audible crackling sound when I would turn my head in either direction from shoulder to shoulder. The worst symptom of this issue was the continual medium grade headache with pain radiating from the back of my neck, up and around my head settling over my eyes. This headache impacted my ability to concentrate and sleep. The totality of this was a degraded quality of life and a lessened ability to be creative and effective while working (I am a Picture Editor) We worked out a plan of surgery and physical therapy to resolve the issues in the most effective and least invasive way possible and proceeded ahead with a two-level disc replacement to be performed at the Docs-Spine Surgical office as an out-patient procedure. The surgical staff, office team, and Dr. Wong himself were caring and supportive throughout the entire process, from pre-surgery, surgery, and post-surgery. Dr. Wong made certain that I was clear on what we were doing, how we were doing it, and what the expected outcome would be. Upon arrival at the Docs Spine Surgical facility, I was immediately cared for by an outstanding team of pre-operation nurses and attendants, and Dr. Wong once again went over the procedure and expectations for the results of the surgery. Here is my experience upon awakening from anesthesia in the recovery room: Headache – gone. Numbness and tingling in my hands and fingers – gone. Neck Pain – gone with mild muscular discomfort in the right trapezius muscle. Total awareness and connection to my upper body, arms, and hands – fully returned. Oddly, the degradation of this connection was so gradual that I was not even aware that I had been losing it until it returned post-surgery. Mild post-surgical discomfort diminished within a week. This discomfort was nothing compared to the actual pain I was experiencing from my neck pre-surgery. Home the same day as surgery, resting comfortably. Results from day of surgery to 4 weeks including physical therapy: Full return of feeling in my arms, hands, and fingers with a return of mobility and grip strength to measurably normal levels. Coordination and finger dexterity have returned to normal. After-care attention and follow-up have been exceptional. Thank you again to Dr. Wong and his team.Posted on Google N8 NORMALLTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Miracle worker!Posted on Google Orr AutoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr. Wong brought me out of the depths of hell with no where else to turn he took on my case which was botched by other surgeons several times. He came up with a pedical screws strategy c2-t3 posterior fusion as our best chance of success. While I thought it was a lot to do, agreed as the pain and I lost use of 1 hand had me in an almost permanent state of ideation. This was my 5th neck surgery and he was 4th surgeon on board which data by it self seems to signal that there is little chance of success. 1 year later I am doing well with about 45 degree rotation on both sides. I was able to travel with my family all over the U.S. and see New York for the first time. Still a lot of occupational therapy and such to go but I feel I have been given another lease on life. Before this I watched tons of Seattle science foundation on YouTube to try and get the best understanding of the procedure. I traveled between 1 hour and 2 hours with traffic but it was all worth I would travel many more if needed. If you do not have your health you do not have life. A big thank you to him and his colleagues I also went to their surgical center which was a wonderful my wife was able to stay they would make really good custom meals and smoothies. Do not wait like I did to find such a well qualified caring surgeon whether a second opinion or third give him a visit. My feeling is if he did my first surgery I would not of found myself having all these other ones.

Frequently Asked Questions
Get expert spine and neurosurgery care in Beverly Hills with Dr. Albert P. Wong, including conditions, treatments, and recovery.
Usually, after spending way too much time researching late at night while trying to get comfortable in bed. Patients compare reviews, experience, procedure focus, and whether the surgeon actually works on spine conditions full-time. A lot of people searching for the best spine surgeon Beverly Hills options also pay attention to whether the consultation feels rushed or not.
No. Plenty of herniated discs settle down without surgery. Therapy, medication, injections, movement changes, and time can help quite a bit in some cases. Surgery normally enters the conversation when nerve symptoms keep progressing, or daily function starts getting affected more seriously.
Sometimes it is lower back pain that keeps returning every few months. Other times it becomes numbness, weakness, burning pain down the leg, balance problems, or neck pain that slowly starts interfering with normal daily movement.
Mostly because recovery scares people. Patients hear “spine surgery” and immediately picture massive incisions and months stuck in bed. Minimally invasive procedures changed some of that thinking for certain conditions because they may reduce tissue disruption and shorten recovery time in the right situation.
The robot is not independently performing surgery by itself. That part gets misunderstood a lot. Robotic-assisted systems mainly help surgeons with planning, alignment, navigation, and precision during certain spinal procedures where accuracy matters heavily.
Usually, when symptoms stop acting temporarily. If pain, numbness, weakness, walking difficulty, or nerve irritation keeps returning despite treatment attempts, it is probably time for a proper spine evaluation instead of continuing to guess at the cause.
